I have crashed my cub this weekend. Could you please watch the video and leave a comment about what could cause the crash? The CG was correct. I simply measured the veritical stability holding from the motor mil and back landing gear. There was no wind. Elerons seemed to be on 0 degree. The plane was turning to the left(eleron). I used full right eleron to avoid the crash but not worked. My pla...

What a shame I have the same plane . I am just unboxing it now but have had it for five years seems to be missing the aluminum spar pipe that goes through the body into the wings does anyone know the dimensions of this aluminum pipe please help me .

Hello what a shame , I have the same plane , I am in the process of building it . is there a chance you still have the plane and could measure the aluminum pipe strut for the wings I seem to have not gotten mine in the shipment from Hobby King, i’ve had this plane for five years just unboxed it now . I've got one there beautiful cubs mine flies straight as an arrow take off's and landings are a breeze in my opinion looking at the video you were not going fast enough and lifted of the ground way too early and stalled it not enough speed and airflow over the wings you were only going half the speed you should have been going you don't pull on the elevator until it virtually wants to leave the ground it was going well until you left the ground too slow sorry for your loss I love mine it's fantastic did you repair it? :)
Yes, repaired and flow again :) I guess the problem was the motor angle

It's very simple. It could be one of two things. Ailerons reversed. Or the ailerons were not functioning. Most likely not plugged in or in the wrong channel.

Bilal Boyacılar selamlar, sivil havaciligin yayinladigi insansiz hava araclari kurallarina gore insanlarin oldugu alanlarda izinsiz ucus yapilmasi yasak. ayrica cigli havaalanini baz alicak olursak bunun 9km capinda izinsiz ucus yapmak yasak. Yani bu durumda artik izmir sahil seridinde drone ile cekim yapmak izinsiz mumkun degil. deniz uzeri ucuslar icin ise nekadar dusuk ihtimal olsada ariza durumunda denize inis yaptiginiz durumda cihazinizi kaybetmis oluyorsunuz. bu sebeple deniz uzeri ucuslarda insan bir tedirgin oluyor belki bu sebeple cok fazla uculmuyordur.

Is it possible the aileron channel was reversed? I hate to say it, but I've done it! When the electric planes take off they torque to the left, and if the ailerons are reversed, instant roll over!
From the vid, it does not look like it's motor torque, or motor being overpowered. You didn't WOT on takeoff- Even on the very first taxi, it wanted to go left already. This cub is so slow, with very light wing loading that it's very hard to stall it, and stalling would drop a wing, not go left. Have you checked wing incidence against the tail feathers. I would put money on it that either the horizontal stabilizer is off, or one of the wing 's incidence is off, causing that left turn. To do a quick check, look from the front, and make sure the two front wings line up with the 2 back horizontal stabilizers.
Maybe the motor angles, and probably not enough right rudder. Full size cubs are mainly rudder - elevator aircraft, with ailerons used to coordinate turns.
This is so familiar ! I have had 2 Cubs and both has similar characters. My latest is the HK Laser Kit smaller than this one ... If I give it full throttle on take-off ... she lifts and flips hard. If I ease throttle she dips left wing and does as yours. I have found that a reasonable increase of throttle but not too slow !! gets her up and away ... I feel that the design is such that we overpower what in real life is a low powered aircraft. The overall design does not fit well with too much power. That's my theory anyway. I know others have spoken about their similar mishaps and crashes on Take-offs ... Nigel
